Christmas Ohio 2008

This year Addison and I flew to Ohio while Eric drove. I was not sure who got the better deal out of this arrangement at first. Addison had a terrible flight up. She screamed for the first 2 hours and I sat and cried! Yes.....I was that mother with that screaming baby! The flight attendants were very nice and let us stand in the kitchen of the cockpit and walk up and down the aisle. We met a very nice mother who was flying with her two kids and they were kind enough to let us watch a little bit of the Nemo movie that they had playing on their DVD player. Sadly, the pilot turned on the seat belt sign and we had to go back to our seat. Where she continued to throw her fit. She finally fell asleep with 20 minutes left in the flight. The nice man sitting next to us, said don't worry, he has 7 kids! God blessed me with a very understand seat neighbor!

Grandpa Gilmore was there to pick us up as soon as we landed. There was a light dusting of snow on the ground, but the wind was so bitterly cold, we could not get Addison out to play in it. By the third day, it had rained and all the snow was gone. Maybe next year we can get her to play in the snow.

Addison got to play cars with her Grandpa Gilmore. He sure is a lot of fun!

Addison got to feed the birds with her Aunt Carrie. But I think Max might have eaten the goodies before the birds got to it! Thank you Mamoo for the beautiful hat that you made her. It has kept her head very warm!

Grandma Gilmore gave her a bath before getting ready to go to church Christmas Eve. She even picked out her beautiful Christmas dress. Then we got to do her hair! She loved wearing this dress. And loved everyone telling her how pretty she was! .She would walk around the house swishing her dress around for everyone to see.

Here is Aunt Katie!

And Uncle Seth, Aunt Carrie, Aunt Jenn and Uncle Adam.

Addison did very good with opening her presents! Her favorite thing to do was pass out the gifts to who they belonged to. She had a good time climbing into this big box and folding over the edges, like she was the gift inside. We had to put a bow on her head!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Gilmore and all my Aunts and Uncles for make this Christmas so wonderful. We are so blessed to have our family together and share the holiday.
